The South African Youth Business Chamber (SAYBC) has officially announced the appointment of Kamohelo Selekeas Board Member and Board Secretary, strengthening the governance and leadership capacity of the Chamber at a significant moment in its institutional growth.
The appointment comes as SAYBC celebrates a major national milestone of 785,000 members across South Africa, marking one of the largest organised youth entrepreneurship networks on the continent. As the Chamber continues to expand its programmes, partnerships, and policy advocacy, strengthening governance structures remains a key priority.

The decision was approved by the SAYBC Board of Directors under the leadership of Board Chairperson Faith Leburu, who welcomed Selekeโs appointment as an important addition to the organisationโs leadership.
Strengthening Governance and Institutional Capacity
Kamohelo Seleke is a governance practitioner, political strategist, and negotiator with experience in public policy, stakeholder engagement, and leadership development. He holds a Bachelorโs Degree in Governance from the University of the Free State and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma to further strengthen his expertise in governance and public policy.
He has gained extensive experience in governance and community development through his work within the Office of the Premierโs Intervention Unit, where he contributed to initiatives aimed at strengthening service delivery and addressing community-level governance challenges.
Seleke has also demonstrated leadership across civic and political platforms and is recognised as a skilled communications practitioner with strong experience in stakeholder relations and organisational management. His work reflects a commitment to ethical leadership, youth empowerment, and effective governance.
As Board Secretary, he will play a key role in supporting the Boardโs governance processes, ensuring accountability, maintaining the integrity of board proceedings, and strengthening institutional compliance within the Chamber.
