National Executive Committee (NEC)

The NEC provides strategic leadership, policy direction, and governance oversight to the South African Youth Business Chamber, driving its mission of empowering South African youth entrepreneurs.


Hon. Siphilangenkosi Dlamini

President

Siphilangenkosi Dlamini is a dynamic youth leader, researcher, and social impact advocate currently serving as the President of the South African Youth Business Chamber. A seasoned student activist and academic, Siphila is completing his Honours Degree in Governance and Political Transformation at the University of the Free State. He is the Founding President of the United Nations Association of South Africa (UNASA) at UFS. Siphilaโ€™s leadership spans international diplomacy, entrepreneurship development, and holistic youth development. He has served in roles at the SADC Youth Forum, AU Youth as well as UN through UN in South Africa as well as the South African Institute of International Affairs . He has organized large-scale conferences, including the Kovsies Model UN Summit, and led ground breaking research projects on youth and economic participation. With strong skills in research, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning, Siphila is committed to creating sustainable platforms for youth in business and leadership.

Hon. Thando Lukhele

Deputy President

Thando Lukhele serves as Deputy President of SAYBC and oversees the Constitutional Affairs and Partnerships portfolio. She is the current President of the EFFSC-led SRC at the University of Cape Town (UCT) for the 2024/2025 term, spear heading the institutionโ€™s first all-female presidency. Thando is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Sciences degree and previously served as UCT SRC Undergraduate Academic Coordinator. With vast experience in student leadership, governance, and policy advocacy, Thando is passionate about inclusive leadership and financial accessibility for marginalized communities. Her strategic competencies include partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and program design. She also works with Gomolemo, advancing the rights of children with disabilities.

Hon. Michael Mnguni

Director of Business Development

Michael Mnguni leads the South African Youth Business Chamberโ€™s (SAYBC) flagship incubator and entrepreneurship programs and oversees the Chamberโ€™s social enterprises. A seasoned communications expert and public administrator, he holds a BA in Governance and Political Transformation. Michael brings extensive experience from his work in the City of Ekurhuleniโ€™s Economic Development Department and the Office of the Premier in Gauteng within the Transformation Chief Directorate. An accomplished entrepreneur, Michael runs his own business, Mnguni Consultations, which works with entrepreneurs across the country, and serves as Chief Administrator at Vutwa Waste Services. With exceptional skills in communication, governance, and youth development, Michael ensures that SAYBCโ€™s initiatives and voice remain credible, impactful, and strategically aligned.

Hon. Bonginkosi Vilane

Director: Human Capital

Bonginkosi Vilane leads the development and oversight of the Chamberโ€™s human capital strategy, strengthening governance alignment, workforce structures, and HR frameworks to support SAYBCโ€™s national mandate and long-term sustainability. His leadership approach is centered on building structured, accountable, and performance-driven institutions, working closely with executive leadership to ensure human capital systems enable organisational growth, operational excellence, and responsible governance. With over a triennium of expertise in Human Resources and workforce management, he combines strategic insight with practical execution, with expertise in HR governance, organisational design, workforce planning, compliance oversight, talent acquisition, and policy development. He holds a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Human Resource Management and an Operations Management Certification, equipping him with both people-centered leadership capability and operational discipline.

Director: Corporate Services

The Director will oversee Finance and Compliance, Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations, Fundraising and Business Development, Operations and Administration, and Marketing, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment across the Chamber.
This role will work closely with the Department of Human Capital, which manages Talent Acquisition, Employee Wellness, Learning and Development, and Performance Management, to strengthen governance, accountability, and organizational impact. The appointment underscores SAYBCโ€™s commitment to professionalized leadership and its mandate as the Apex Body representing youth in business across South Africa.

National Management Team (NMT)

The National Management Team (NMT) is the backbone of the South African Youth Business Chamber (SAYBC), responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. They manage all operational aspects, including project implementation, administrative processes, stakeholder coordination, and resource management, ensuring that the Chamberโ€™s strategic priorities are consistently executed. With over 100 permanent and non-permanent staff reporting to them daily, the NMT plays a critical role in maintaining organizational efficiency, monitoring program progress, and addressing operational challenges in real time. Their leadership ensures that the directives of the National Executive Committee (NEC) are translated into actionable plans, making them indispensable for sustaining SAYBCโ€™s impact, continuity, and ability to deliver on its mandate to represent and empower youth in business across South Africa.


Lesego Nkoboloane

Chief Administrative Officer

Lesego Nkoboloane is a highly organized administrative professional with significant experience in project coordination, organizational systems, and office management. As Chief Administrative Officer, Lesego plays a crucial role in ensuring SAYBC operates efficiently and effectively. He is skilled in administrative compliance, document control, and internal reporting. Lesego is committed to enhancing organizational capacity, strengthening governance structures, and providing seamless support to the executive team. His competencies include process optimization, leadership coordination, and stakeholder liaison.

Hon. Nontando Duma

Chief of Staff

Nontando Duma is an International Relations expert and holds qualifications in International Relations, Politics and Governance from the University of Johannesburg. She has extensive experience working with international organizations like UNICEF and in community development through tutorial programs and charity initiatives. Nontando brings a strong background in research, policy engagement, and youth empowerment. She is passionate about creating impact-driven programs that build young peopleโ€™s capacity in education and entrepreneurship. With strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, she ensures operational excellence within SAYBC.

Hon. Faith Leburu

Board Chairperson

Faith Keabetswe Leburu is a South African social entrepreneur, #FeesMustFall activist, researcher, and mediation practitioner committed to social justice and transformative education. She became actively involved in the Fees Must Fall movement, advocating for accessible, decolonised, and financially inclusive higher education in South Africa. Her work spans community development initiatives across Cape Town, Bloemfontein, and Johannesburg. Professionally, she operates as a researcher, anthropologist, social entrepreneur, writing consultant, and mediation practitioner, using interdisciplinary approaches to advance dialogue, empowerment, and social transformation.
Faithโ€™s journey reflects a sustained commitment to advocacy, youth development, and systemic change within education and broader society.

Hon. Zakhele Nkosi

Board Member: Legal Affairs

Zakhele Nkosi serves as a Board Member responsible for Legal Affairs, providing strategic legal oversight and governance guidance within the organisation. He is an alumnus of Nelson Mandela University (NMU), where he developed a strong foundation in legal studies and institutional leadership.
With a keen understanding of regulatory compliance, constitutional frameworks, and organisational governance, Zakhele plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and legal standing of the institution. His expertise supports sound decision-making, risk management, and the strengthening of internal accountability mechanisms. Committed to ethical leadership and institutional excellence, Zakhele contributes to advancing a culture of transparency, compliance, and principled governance.

Hon. Dr. Alina Ntsiapane

Board Member

Dr. Ntsiapane is a sustainable agriculture expert holding a PhD in Sustainable Agriculture, as well as a Masterโ€™s, Honours, and Bachelor of Agriculture Management from the University of the Free State (UFS). Her work focuses on sustainable agriculture, agri-policy, and climate-smart farming, with experience at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and active engagement within the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) network. She is also an alumna of the Future Farmers Foundation.
In March 2025, she was named Most Influential Woman by the World Association for Sustainable Development(WASD) and selected for the 2025 #AreyengBrazil cohort, representing South Africa as an outstanding young leader in agriculture.

Hon. Kamohelo Seleke

Board Secretary

Kamohelo Seleke is a seasoned political strategist, negotiator, and governance practitioner with a strong background in public policy, leadership, and stakeholder engagement. He holds a Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Governance from the University of the Free State and is currently pursuing a postgraduate diploma to further strengthen his expertise in governance and policy. Kamohelo has gained extensive experience in governance and community development through his work in the Office of the Premier within the Intervention Unit, where he contributed to initiatives aimed at strengthening service delivery and addressing community challenges. He has demonstrated leadership across both civic and political platforms. Kamohelo is a skilled communications practitioner with strong experience in stakeholder relations and management, driven by a commitment to youth empowerment, ethical leadership, and effective governance.

Hon. Candice Nkosi

Board Member

Candice Nkosi is a Mpumalanga-born leader dedicated to women and youth development. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and combines her legal training with practical community activism to advance social impact initiatives.
Candice is the founder of the Her Dignity Initiative, a grassroots program committed to restoring dignity and improving school attendance by providing sanitary products to high school girls from underserved communities. Through this initiative, she has championed menstrual health awareness and driven conversations around dignity, access, and equality for young women.
